The Canadian Orthopaedic Care Strategy Group (COCSG) is a not-for-profit organization that exists to raise awareness, validate and enhance the true benefits of musculoskeletal health and human mobility as it relates to Canadian productivity competitiveness, total health care cost and the quality of life for all Canadians.
Musculoskeletal disorders are the most prevalent chronic health conditions in Canada and a leading cause of disability and use of health care resources. Musculoskeletal disorders encompass a broad range of disorders that affect the bones, joints and connective tissue. These include arthritis and related conditions, back pain and spinal disorders, other bone and joint conditions (including osteoporosis) and trauma (fractures, dislocations and sprains and strains).
